Beams threw this hanky from a train and we gladly caught it. As an expression of mutual admiration, we’ve co-created the Beams for Ace and Ace for Beams collections, made in Japan and the Pacific Northwest, respectively. This charmer was created by Buzz Rickson’s, a maker of meticulously researched and recreated replicas of vintage, classic military-issue work wear and accessories. Beams also worked with Sanca, a Wakayama, Japan-based clothier that still uses traditional loop wheel knitting machines to create richly textured fabrics from original grandrelle yarns. In Oregon, to create our Ace for Beams collection, we got in touch with some of our favorite local leatherworkers as well as Pendleton in Washougal, WA to drum up a few excellent pieces in homage to Beams. See everything on our shop.
