This is from Ace partner Alex Calderwood about our newest collaboration with friends at Converse: the Ace-exclusive Chuck Taylor All Star Bosey shoe. There are only 300 of them in the world, and they are now available on our online shop. For a couple of years, staff at Ace Hotel New York have been wearing a monochrome olive drab Converse as part of their uniform. You could only get a pair if you worked for Ace or made eyes at one of us. These new ones are inspired by shoes from the Converse archive — they have the feel of a sneaker, but with rugged boot detailing and design cues taken from vintage wading boots and basic training shoes Converse made in the 1940s.
