New York City
The Sherman Zwicker first met the Atlantic just after we joined The War — a sailing vessel stop-gap in the transition to diesel power — fishing and trading from Nova Scotia to the Caribbean and back for over a quarter century. The last of his fleet, the SZ is now docked in Tribeca at Hudson River Park’s Pier 25; a 142-foot curio rescued with the help of the not-for-profit Maritime Foundation to become the seasonal oyster bar and maritime exhibit Grand Banks.
Atelier Ace Director Eric Cheong and Ace familiar Johnne Eschleman left their fastidious fingerprints all over this one, so may God bless ol’ Sherm and all who dine upon him.
Grand Banks sets figurative sail just in time for Fourth of July weekend.
