Our friends at Arkitip have an interesting little place in LA called Project Space, which they run with Incase. It’s an experimental platform for exhibitions and performances, and they keep a specially curated stream of products on rotation. Project Space “stays true to Arkitip’s founding principles: supporting the arts, promoting freedom of expression and making art affordable and accessible.” So, we’re excited that our exclusive Havaianas, Coto ties, and Surface To Air tie clips are available for a little while at their shop.

Flip-flop weather comes early in Palm Springs. Ace has collaborated with Havaianas to launch a limited edition sandal for the summer, in the original colorway from 1962. The story goes that the sandals were originally black on top with a white sole. But the cool kids in Rio were flipping the sandals upside down to put their twist on it. Ace Havaianas are a homage to putting a twist on classics. They’re exclusive to Ace, and Palm Springs is the only place you can get a pair on the West Coast, and one of only two in the US — the other is Opening Ceremony at Ace New York. The Palm Springs sandals bear a pin modeled after Ace Palm Springs’ signature coyote in pearls, which lives in a diorama in the lobby.
Alex Calderwood, Ace founder, says “Havaianas embodies the idea of an instant classic. It’s a product that is straight forward, comfortable, has stood the test of time, and has just as much relevance today as it did in Brazil back in 1962. We can only hope that Ace Hotel will have such staying power.” You can buy a pair straight from the minibar before heading out to the pool for the day. Or call the hotel if you’d like to get a pair sent to you.
We’re running a quick-quick deal through the end of April if you want to just go pick up a pair on your own. $79 tonight and tomorrow, $89 Friday. Call to book.
