Michael Anderson is the artist responsible for lining the lobby stairwell at Ace Hotel New York with graffiti stickers. He is a controversial, innovative and interesting person we’re glad to know. Michael has a show opening at Claire Oliver today in New York called The Street is My Palette. There’s a reception tonight from 6-8pm at the gallery, where you can meet the artist and see the pieces he’s created around the impulse to tear down, reconstruct, question and reuse advertisements — a reclamation of the public and interior space.
