Ace Hotel

We like to start Memorial Day weekend early and keep it going late. This year, we’re hosting the 2nd annual Desert Days with DJs all weekend, a pop-up shop with Mt. Fuji, Feel Good Spa specials, good food late into the wee hours, and a silent auction to raise money for AIDS research with LifeCycle, featuring art from Shepard Fairey, Spike Jonze, and other friends. See more on our calendar.

Some shots from our Liberty Hall Screening of Tell Them Anything You Want. Spike Jonze, Lance Bangs and Catherine Keener held a Q&A afterward.

There may have been a funner party in the history of fashion week but we’ve never heard of it. Feast your eyes upon the revelers that filled the Ace Hotel New York lobby during Opening Ceremony’s French-inspired flea market for Fashion’s Night Out. Bullhorns and balloons were the least of it. We had a ton of fun with good friends, amazing fashion, and some our favorite style icons, including ChloĆ« Sevigny, Solange Knowles, Lazaro Hernandez, Jack McCollough, Rinko Kikuchi, Spike Jonze, and Humberto and Carol of OC. Stay tuned this week for more pictures, recaps, and moments from OC at Ace, colette, and No. 8a.

“We were just two people that wanted to leave their jobs and be lazy and not work and just create this party house for us.”

Spike Jonze sat down with Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, the makers and shakers of Opening Ceremony, for Vice Magazine online. They spoke in perfect unison about the history of OC, their wildest dreams, and their new store at Ace Hotel New York.
