Want to stick it to the man while increasing your sartorial dynamism? Sleep over at Ace Portland and get your holiday shopping done — for yourself and others — tax-free and with a friendly deal. There’s no reason why you can’t flip a well-clad bird to big brother and get yours too. Call us and mention Stick it to the Man to get rooms on the cheap and discounts at local stores and designers when you flash your room key November 1 through December 31 of this possibly ill-fated year. If we make it that far into 2012, we’ll celebrate together in style. If you’re coming from Seattle, book a ticket on Amtrak in the next couple of days for November 27 - December 18 and it’s less than a price of a handwoven sweater made of used, repurposed rolling papers.

Our friends at Lizard Lounge in Portland are now carrying Ace x Impossible Starter Kits and Film at their rad little shop in the Pearl — they’re also part of our Stick it to the Man holiday shopping heist. We’ve known the folks at Nau, the brand behind the shop a la lounge, for many years and we’re further ingratiated by their ever-running river of Stumptown at Lizard Lounge, so it’s all in the family. Go check out their shop, hang out and read a book and peruse their handsome selections of amazing sweaters, denim and, now, lovingly refurbished Polaroid cameras and resurrected analog instant film.

The magic of CONTENT, captured by Chris Hornbecker. Lots of the designers from CONTENT are part of our slightly oxymoronic anti-establishment shopping vacation, Stick it to the Man. We already shop tax-free and proud in Oregon, but you can get an additional ten percent off at local designers and boutiques and ten percent off your room when you stay with us in November or December.

If you’d like to fill your own or others’ stockings with locally made Portland fashion and jewelry, you can still catch some Content designers at an Ace-friendly discount through December, while simultaneously Sticking it to the Man — no sales tax in Oregon makes the deal even sweeter.
