Tara Jane O’Neil painted room 209 at Ace Hotel Portland last week, powered by several beers from Clyde Common and the overhead force of encroaching foul weather. TJO is a local treasure who makes art and music. She’ll be heading back to Japan now to finish a record and tour with her friend, Nikaido Kasumi.
