George Evelyn’s steadily approaching the silver anniversary of his Nightmares on Wax sobriquet — 25 years of beats, rhymes and life — and he’s not slowing down any time soon. We’re lucky enough to have him Upstairs tonight at Ace DTLA — going back to basics for a stripped-down DJ set.

George is a worldly guy, so we thought we’d get the skinny on some quick travel tips.

William Bensussen aka The Gaslamp Killer, a hyperactive, hypersonic, LA-based channeler for all the right musical vibes, plays April 19 at Desert Gold with Warp Records in the Amigo Room at Ace Hotel & Swim Club in Palm Springs — here, he represents for all the deep musical woo we love and believe in, as part of the Serato Icon Artist Series.

Flying Lotus rhythmically narrates a mediation on the ever-dissipating, ever-amalgamated self; the watercolors running through our veins; the tiny torture of having a bad case of the wants; the control of objects and obstacles; the unattainability of wholeness.

Not only does he do this, and very well, but he also plays at Desert Gold this year at Ace Hotel & Swim Club during Coachella — spinning at our party with Warp Records and with DJ Day at a special DG edition of ¡Reunión!. We still have a handful of rooms open, starting at one hundred and twenty nine tiny tortures. Book online and learn more about Desert Gold.
