Alison and Trevor got married in a forest near Portland, then came back to Ace to party with their friends and family in The Cleaners. We like all the handmade ephemera that looks like it was pulled out of an old journal, and we like how in love they are.

We’re holding a contest for two tickets to Hitched, an unconventional bridal and wedding showcase being held at Ace Hotel Palm Springs on January 30. Hitched is put on by a creative group of friends with an enthusiasm for the handmade and light-hearted, and their event is going to be really fun. Read more about it on our calendar, and in the meantime, send your worst wedding photo ever to hitched@acehotel.com by January 23. If your photo is sufficiently cringe-worthy, we’ll announce your name and post the photo on our blog January 24, and you can pick your tickets up at the door. We have a special rate for the night, too, so you can make a romantic getaway out of it, sort of like a prenuptial honeymoon.

Tasha just married her sweetheart at Ace Hotel Palm Springs, and we really liked these photos from her wedding. She said:

We chose the Ace because every time we visited we felt at home. The staff is so warm and unpretentious, the fire-pits on site and the amazing swimming pool with hammocks surrounding it all make for a sense of community and they always have rocking tunes playing. Not only was the site beyond gorgeous as a backdrop for our event but it has so much personality as well. We tried to not out-do the space and just use it as inspiration when we were planning our event. Our friends and family all stayed and played at the Ace too. It really was by far the best week of my life with the wedding day as the world’s best cherry on top. I have never felt so surrounded by love. It was amazing.

Jarrett and Andi Got Married

at Ace Palm Springs. They’re solid chums of Ace, and their party was amazing. Parra from Amsterdam created the look and feel of the wedding and this incredible cake. And guests received these custom bamboo towels by Luxurious Organics (check out their shop). Everything was very YES. Goro’s in Harajuku made a special tie pin for the groom and the wedding party wore these top-secret custom shoes. Afterward, there was an dance party in the Amigo Room that none of us will soon forget. See more on Jarrett’s blog — he’s on a honeymoon right now, but stay tuned for more.
