Just a hint of things to come. We got some incredible pictures today of Jer Ber Jones and Honeysuckle Hype (pictured here) performing by the pool for West Coast Love Train, day two. We wish both of these people would be waiting for us each morning when we wake up. As Jer Ber’s falsies floated in the hot tub and Honey adjusted her feathered thong, we felt glad to be alive. Pool parties, private parties, guilty parties, tea parties of the good sort. We’re just getting started. Last night, we kicked off the West Coast Love Train at Ace Hotel Palm Springs with DJ NARK, Vintage Youth and L.A. Kendall in the Amigo Room. We not only loved Vintage Youth’s outfits, we were also able to check our lipstick in David’s back. Seriously, all of these people were incredible.
This whole weekend is full of amazing performers and good spirits. We’re going to be keeping track of all of it here, and posting pictures and updates, so stay tuned — you can click the West Coast Love Train button in the sidebar for all posts. Noon to 4pm - Pool Party: Jer Ber Jones hosts DJs Honey Sound System and Susan in Accounting, plus performances by Barbie Q, Lady Bear, Phyllis Navidad, Tammie Brown and many more, with shot girl Wendy on skates
6 to 8pm - Queer Film Showcase: Two hours of queer art and short films hosted by Honey Suckle Hype, poolside and free to everyone
9pm to 2am - Drag Show and Dance Party: DJs Juanita More, Chris Bowen, Honey Sound System and Victor Rodriguez, plus live drag performances with special guests
Sunday
10am to noon - Gay Pride Parade: Downtown Palm Springs, see you there
Noon to 4pm - Children of the Sun Special Pride Edition: Pool Party mashup with lots of DJs playing mini sets including Victor Rodriguez, Chris Bowen, Honey Sound System, Susan in Accounting and many more

If you’re not either in Palm Springs or on your way already, you might want to reconsider your weekend. It’s Gay Pride weekend in the desert, and the West Coast Love Train at Ace Hotel Palm Springs starts tonight.
