Rudy’s are good people. They’re our neighbor in Manhattan and Seattle (and elsewhere) and now they have a new outpost in Williamsburg — a mercantile for which 100% of profits are going to support Waves for Water’s Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. Stop by for a haircut, some Stumptown Coffee and good, upstanding holiday gifts for your loved ones and yourself. If you’re staying with us at Ace, flash your room key for 10% off everything in the shop.

Lithuanian-born, Portland-based photographer Darius Kuzmickas took this shot at Ace Hotel Portland using pinhole photography. See his show, up for only a couple more days, at the Stumptown Coffee Roasters in Downtown Portland.

The Rapha Cycle Club will close its Manhattan doors come October and we’ll be joining our friends at the closing party on September 30. Ride the emotional rollercoaster thataccompanies most farewells by alternately slamming local beer from Kelso Brewing and Stumptown Coffee served up by Third Rail. DJ Bryce Rackford will keep things moving along faster than a Shimano Sora crankset. It’s sad to see a good thing go, but we know how to make it fun and so does Rapha. In their own words, “Let’s burn this mother down.”
